Concept & Optical Performance
GML BSW 480 CMY is a full-featured hybrid Beam Spot Wash moving head built around a Philips MSD Silver 420 LL discharge lamp at 6800 K with an extended life up to 4,000 hours. The optical train provides three specialized zoom profiles: Beam mode (2.1–29°), Spot mode (2.2–41.5°), and Wash mode (2.5–31.6°).
Key Functional Features
- Triple Zoom Profile: distinct motorized ranges for Beam, Spot, and Wash, linear focus, and an independent frost filter.
- Color Engine CMY + CTO: continuous linear CMY color mixing, 2700–7800 K linear CTO control, and dual fixed color discs (each with 5 colors plus open).
- Gobos & Animation: static wheel with 8 gobos and 4 white positions, dedicated animation disk with 3 patterns, and a rotating wheel with 7 glass gobos.
- Stackable Prisms: independent 8-facet and 16-facet prisms with mutual stacking capability producing a 24-facet aerial array.
- Movement & IO: 540° Pan and 270° Tilt (16-bit), 24 DMX512 control channels, PowerCON True1 and 3-pin XLR in/out, 20.8 kg net weight.
