The ChamSys MagicDMX Basic is an affordable USB-to-DMX interface designed for users who want to learn and evaluate MagicQ lighting control software, test lighting fixtures, or gain hands-on experience with DMX programming.
The interface provides output of one full DMX universe through a 3-pin female XLR connector and connects directly to a computer via a USB-C port. It works seamlessly with the free MagicQ software, allowing users to control real lighting fixtures and practice show programming without investing in a larger control system.
MagicDMX Basic is ideal for students, technicians, schools, colleges, and lighting professionals who need a simple and cost-effective DMX output solution. The device includes basic electrical protection and an LED status indicator for reliable operation and easy monitoring.
The Basic version is limited to 5 hours of continuous operation per session. After the session expires, users simply need to reconnect the device and restart MagicQ software to begin another session.
